Olive Oil – Some recipes say that olive oil doesn’t absorb as well but I like it because it keeps the crackers crispier longer and it doesn’t taste as greasy. Saltine Crackers – Full size saltines are best for this recipe but feel free to use a different cracker or even the salt free version. Pouring olive oil over crispy saltines? Won’t that make them soggy? That was my first thought, but the scientist in me had to try it. Making these Comeback Crackers seems a little on the odd side.
